Got a lot done here the past few days.
The other head is all together and painted. Lapped valves and seats.
All the rocker arms are cleaned up.
Today I repainted the block, and painted the other cylinder head.
Also installed just the cam shaft. Crank shaft is also in.
Sand blasted and painted the power brake booster brackets, and alternator brackets.
The to do list as it stands...
Install pistons
Install oil pump and pickup
Install heads
Install lifters
Install push rods.
Install timing set.
Install front cover
Install intake
Transmission related...
Install appropriate kickdown and shift levers.
Then install in truck.
Yet to buy but needed...

Raduator
Alternator
Belts and hoses.
Oil lines for transmission
Inch/lb torque wrench.
Push rods.
Water pump
Fuel pump
Spark plugs and wires.
Mufflers, pipe.
Engine lifting plate.
Oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid. Oil, air, fuel and transmission fluid filters.
Brake distribution block.
Now for pics.
I put the oil pan and front cover on just to mask the over spray. The oil pan needs repainted and the front cover still needs to be cleaned up and painted.
