problems with my highboy

Got a highboy today.
Problems that i have found as of now are that the t-case will not shift, and yes the tranny is in neutral. Where do i start?
And the drivers side hub is a WARN that locks/frees nicely but the passenger side is a Ford hub that is stuck in Lock, how do i take this apart exactly and what do i look for?

you may need to roll the truck to shift the t case. The hub locks are simple, not to tough to deal w/. Mos times the old nasty grease or rust is the culprit.

Thank god. Your post just relieved me a whole lot :D
I'll try rolling the truck tomorrow, I'm guessing it's just a little stuck from sitting for 4 years. Everything worked perfect before it sat. I'll tear the hubs apart tomorrow too!

It is not uncommon to have to move the truck forward or backwards a little to get the transfercase to shift. I have a 72 and some times takes several feet other times it just shifts with no issues.

Just as a side note, the original 70's Ford hubs are much better than anything warn ever made for a dana 44. The ford hubs are steel, Warns are pot metal. If you were to replace one or the other to have a matching pair two ford hubs would be a little better than two warns. Or, if the prior owner was a real sharp fellow he may have put the warn hub on the driver's short side so it would brake before the axle does and left the ford one on the passenger side long shaft.
