On my 71 F250 4X4 the rear shackle on the front spring measures 3 5/8" center to center on the bolt holes. Here's some pics of the spring mounts

Hope this helps

Mike, Thank you so much, this will help me so much to get my truck back to where it should be! Great pic and measurement, those are exactly what I need.

Thanks again. Bill

Got the new front end installed today. pita to do alone but I did accomplish it. Let me all know what you think. Maybe its the picture, but the pinion angle doesn't look quite right yet, but I don't know what else to do. It has stock shackles, poly. bushings, and new shocks.

Looks good to me too, good job. The pinion angle will rotate up when you power the axle.

Thanks Dustin and Wes, it makes me feel a lot better. I went out today and gave it a good stare and it does look better in person. I finished late yesterday and didn't look at it very much and was just going off of the pictures. As you can see in the pics, the axel is sitting significantly farther away from the engine/crossmember. It has an awsome stance now. I think the only thing this truck needs now for outside apperance is a decent solid paint job.
