It is a single speed 2 hi 4 hi dana 21 case not very strong, and it is nice to have low range to use. so what I would do is find a
mid 70's ford 4 speed and 205 t case you would have to modify your drive shafts shorten the rear lengthen the front and modify the cross member to mount the new set up. I am doing the same thing to my 71 f100 I did not break my case I just don't like not having low range.
67 Highboy with 427FE 79 dana 60 front dana 70 rear 13" of lift 38" swampers. 72 F100 2wd short bed 302 toploader 4speed. 71 F100 shortbed 4x4 rust bucket. 68 F100 2wd long bed parts truck no rust.

Granny Gear with some decent size tires :D but was very very mad at the time it happened :x . I also read online that some of these transfer cases had a casting problem beacuse it snaped along one of the bolt pattern. Thanks for the info. I will look for one.

Sweet! So how was the wheelbase obtained? Is it a crew body on a normal longbed chassis or did you move the axle forward and chop the frame (or some other way)?

This is mt 71 F250. It's got a 400 from a78 F250, Electronic ignition, dana 44/60, NP 205 transfer and NP 435 tranny. The body's pretty rough but I just picked up a good donor 69 Ranger.

Hey, I recognize that truck! It's a little off topic, but I just want to say True Blue is a great magazine. A number of us here have subscriptions, and I can't wait for the next issue. Thanks for a great mag!
