have you thought about hydroboost? Putting an EFI 460 in my 72 and will be converting to hydroboost to free up some space on that side. I gutted the whole harness out of the donor truck also and will be trying to use as much as possible

Sounds like a good idea but when I cut the old fender wells and put the C/V fenders wells in place that gave me the room I needed. Is that your truck in your avatar? My students were drooling over it the other day.zakt wrote:have you thought about hydroboost? Putting an EFI 460 in my 72 and will be converting to hydroboost to free up some space on that side. yep, that is my truck dont know if you have read about my project but converting it to 4x4, 460 EFI, C6, NP205 and gear vendors aux trans. 18x10 wheels with 37 toyo tires most likely 6" lift over high boy height (could be 8") getting the cab and bed off now the front frame horns are bent and have to get those fix before I can get the leaf spring crossmember on.

I told my students that they made crew cab bumps. They didn't believe so I showed them your truck they loved it. Very nice truck.

Very nnice build on both yours dad23boys and Zakt.
What mileage do you think you'll get to go with that performance with the crown vic running gear?
bet you see right around 20 mpgs -/+ highway.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Re: crown vic front suspension into 67 F100 1
Well I have a 01 civilian crown vic it gets about 24 on the free way. When my truck had the 240 in it the millage was about 14 but it had a 373 rear end with the 3 on the tree. The rear end in it now is a 270. As soon as I get the trans shifting right I will check it and report back. I know a guy with a 03 F-150 4X4 4.6 and he claims 19 MPG with his truck so maybe 20 MPG is not out of the question.rjewkes wrote:Very nnice build on both yours dad23boys and Zakt.

Re: crown vic front suspension into 67 F100 1
Well drove Leroy a good bit today checked the MPG. Looks like it is just a little under 20. Hopefully when I get the trans fixed it will be a little better than that. Also I drove it in my dad's pasture to help him with his cattle so a lot of idle time was in that as well. Needless to say I am very pleased with this the power to MPG is outstanding now. Especially compared to what it was before.rjewkes wrote:Very nnice build on both yours dad23boys and Zakt.

I gotta say this truck is looking really good! Its like you gave it a heart transplant! The best thing about it though is that you built it with your students and I am sure you are making an impact in their lives, I still remember what I learned from my woodshop teacher.
