Very Good Mr. Stiefel,

I think the wire harness could be simpler, as Grant Peterson (fordification member Buckinthebowtie or was it bukinbowtie?) has a harness that the guys at ford racing built for the 4.6 and or 5.4 to be plug and play with the factory harness for the cab, and also gives room when slightly modified by uwrapping and running under the plastic plenum on top of the motor towards the back for the computer and power distribution center to install in the cab around the trans hump area.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Thanks we will try that out. If I could get the ECU in the cab that would be great.

We are thankful that the towns here and around us give our school these cars so we can do projects with our students. On my truck I got the big parts my self. I have used a lot of little parts off these cars but the donors are OK with this since I am using my truck to train my students on. This job dose have a few perks. Of course that comes with working with inexperience teens in a shop with all kinds of dangerous tools and equipment. LOL

Just found someone was talking trash about the truck project me and my students have been working on on a different Ford truck web site. Here is what he said and my response.

Project bad, yes you will be fine, the guy on the other forum you speak of is exactly the kind of person i am talking about, they have no clue they just like to hear themselves talk.

Yes you can put a block in to raise the suspension.

********** pay attention here PLEASE***************

DO NOT put an open ended thin wall peice of tubing between the frame and crossmember! I saw a guy on youtube and another ford website do this that is teaching kids in a shop class and its horribly wrong and dangerous!

The proper way to put a "lift block" in would be to make it an extension of the frame by welding it in then boxing the ends of the extra tube and grafting the ends into the frame so its all like one peice. I would also use a 3/16" or 1/4" wall tube for added strength. Also remember use the strongest bolt you can when going that long.

I AM THAT SHOP TEACHER that you are referring to. I highly upset that you are saying I am teaching my students something dangerous. I take pride in my program and would never do anything to put my students in danger. My truck may not look as pretty as yours but the spacers I used are fine and the boxing in you are referring to do very little for strength although it does look better. Everybody can check out my youtube video and judge for yourself. This will be the last time I will visit this site it this is the way people on this site talk slandering one’s character and job. The thin wall tubing your are referring to is 5/16" and much thicker than the original frame. Wish I didn't let things like this get me upset like this I mean I was getting grease under my fingernails when this guy was in diapers.
It sure hurts your feelings when someone you have never meet talks bad about some thing you have done. And they do it all over the net. I know I am a big boy and I should take it like a man.

Well, its too bad people talk like that about others. People act rediculous on the internet, cause they can. Just ignore 'em, and let the haters, hate.

Well I have cooled off now but no telling what my blood pressure when I seen that. I hate it when I let people like this get me that upset. May have to reconsider about doing another video log on my next project if I can't handle the haters any better than that. But I will continue this video log till we are finished.

Speaking of "different Ford truck web site" I assume you mean the Darkside and their site sucks. I have been trying to read Carcrafters write up on his CV and IRS conversion (It is 66 pages long, granted a lot of that is others asking questions and giving their take on it) to see exactly what he did and I keep getting "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". I refresh sometimes once and it comes up sometimes it will be 10 or more refreshes before it comes up. They have some serious issues over there. I wish Carcrafter would of put it up in detail over here instead of the condensed version. If he had put it over here I wouldn't even be over there.

Well I won't be back to the darkside or any of Mr.Carcrafter's posting (even though he did give me the idea for this project but I guess the way he talks about me he don't want anybody to know that). I like the crowd a lot better here.
