What size tires will fit?
I have a '67 F100 4X4. It has no lift. Stock steel wheels, which I plan to keep. I'd like to replace the current farm duty tires with something a little more streetable. Anyone have experience with larger tires in this set up? I'm pretty sure the plentiful 235/75's will fit. What about 30x9.50?

Re: What size tires will fit?
I would think 31-10.50's would fit. I had 30x9.50's on my truck years ago with the stock wheels. I know they will fit.

Can anyone tell me the max rim depth? like 15x8 15x10 etc... that will fit the F-100 (72 Longbed 2WD)

Re: What size tires will fit?
i have a set of 8" wide rims for my truck and a set of 10" as spares, which i will be getting rid of due to the fact that they are 10".
The 8" are fine, I suggest those. But the 10" rims with my 12.5" tires stuffs the tire into my fender (ive shredded a tire because of this and have mangled both bedsides as well), and the fenders are cut a ways and slightly pulled out.

Okay so I've got a 72 2wd. Can someone please tell me the max tire size I can run on the stock suspension? I'm guessing 31x10.5 right now.

Okay, what about with trimming? I'm considering running narrow 33s (285/75/16)papabug71 wrote:Tycho wrote:Okay so I've got a 72 2wd. Can someone please tell me the max tire size I can run on the stock suspension? I'm guessing 31x10.5 right now.

Re: What size tires will fit?
Alright I ordered some Dick Cepek FC2 in 285/75/16 for some new Pro Comp wheels. Not a 12.5 tire, so hopefully it wont rub or get shredded.FordTruck wrote:My 72 CS has 33x12.50/16.5 on it i haven't driven it but they seem to fit good.

Re: What size tires will fit?
So they are just about 33's and just under 11.5" wide. I don't think you will have any problems, and if you do it will be with steering up front. You might need to just cut the inside lip off of the fenders though. Another big factor is how wide are your rims? Also, after you install your new tires, crank the wheels to the left and to the right while a buddy bounces up and down on the bumper, and make sure everything clears just in case you do some boony crashing Or, if you hit a speedbump while turning or something.Tycho wrote:Alright I ordered some Dick Cepek FC2 in 285/75/16 for some new Pro Comp wheels. 16x8s with 4.5 backspace. Whole setup should fit with minimum rubbing.1971ford wrote:So they are just about 33's and just under 11.5" wide. my 71 f250 2wd gots 285/75r16 front and 305/75r16 back, the 285s fit the with out rubbing even when going over curbs, drops and what nots. the 285s come close to rubbing at full lock but don't, it might fit slightly different on a f100 4x4

I have no ideal, the previous owner painted it. he painted rust, chrome and bondo, and holds good. it is flat black not ultra flat and hope its not blitz, because I will have a hard time repainting

That looks good on there.
I'm running 235/75/16 in the front and 33x12.5x16.5 on the rear.
