No vents! I shaved the vents in front of the windshield so I figured what heck I'll just use the openings for my speakers.

Are you driving this now? What's the latest, howz it drve?
I thought you were going to change the steering column but it looks like the stock column. I may be thinking of someone else. I thought you were going to center it better for the driver's seat.
It looks new, and everything is a real clean job. What is that like, do you find any strange squeaks or anything unexpected?

I'm starting to drive it drive it a little more every other day it seems. With regard to the steering I think it may have someone else. Everything is pretty much stock with the steering. I did replace the pump and the gear box because it was leaking really bad. In terms of how it drives, It runs best once it gets warmed up. I think the next big thing I'll do is change the stock intake and carb. I'd like to put a nice four barrel on her within the next couple months. I'll just be putten around in it and see what else needs to tweeked!

WoW!!! Looks SUPER!!!!

Not to be picky, but one minor, I repeat MINOR point. Adjust the column up to close this gap. I say this because it jumped out at me.

How do you adjust it up? I would love to close that gap as you pointed out. The steering wheel I have on it now is a grant and It never fit like it should. At some point I'm going to get slightly larger wheel and deal with that adapter gap. I played around with it close it up, but I had no luck in doing so. Let me know and this is why I love this site!

one tick is to loosen the hardware outside of the cab in the engine bay namely the saddle clamp clamping the column to that little metal cover thing just under the brake master cylinder/or booster.

then just slightly loose the under dash bolts and pull up on the outer part of the column.

once you get a gap you like tighten it all back down and double check the location of the lower bearing in the engine bay end of the tube.

Make sure you gather all your receipts and have that beauty professionally appraised! Then have it insured for that amount.
Be a shame if some crackhead T-boned it, and all his insurance will give you is a couple grand cause it's "an old truck!" :x
Looks good! I want to close off the cowl vents on my truck, but haven't quite decided how I'm going to do it yet.
