Harbor Freight catalog OOPS!

Post by FORDification »

I just got the latest issue of the Harbor Freight Tools catalog. I was browsing through it today and noticed this on the back page...and thought "I could use a couple of these for the back yard"...

...well, until I read the fine print! Not only does this 'solar' mole chaser require 3 AA batteries, but the ad says IT'S FOR "INDOOR USE ONLY"!?

the inside use only must be a typo. My uncle mike has one that is powered off the house and it works on all the creepy crawlies.

Actually MOST Solar powered outside items have rechargeable batteries in them. The solar powered accent lights I have around my house have 2 AA batteries. The sun charges the batteries during the day, and at night the lights draw power from the batteries to illuminate the night.

Oh really? OK, didn't know that....I figured there'd be some kind of small rechargeable battery pack.

While most solar lights I have seen have the rechargable AA batteries in them, I have never seen one not have them installed when you buy them. SInce it doesn't say it needs rechargable batteries, I assume that is a typo.

Now, where in the house to put it to keep the moles outside.........
