Re: 1967 F-100 project
that does tell me a few things. my 71 has power steeeirng. and it has a 2wd power steering box in it. everything is the same as in your pic except teh power steering box that was added or maybe it was a factory or dealer thing who knows. one thing i seen is how the steering column extension goes out to your box. it is more flat than i thought. mine isnt much higher than yours so that is why it looks like someone torched up my shock tower. is to make spare room for my steering extension. the other thing that is wrong with mine is the pitman arm to linkage is very loose in the pitman arm. i think i am mising some sort of rubber or some kind of gasket between the linkage and the pitman arm. i cant tell but is yours a rubber piece or what kind of material is that. here is a pic of how mine looks right now. oops photbucket is in maintaince mode right now.

I'll have to see when I get the pitman arm off. It's on there pretty good, I may have to heat it up to get it off.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Mine is not power steering, although I'm considering adding that.

Exactly in the same spot with three holes in it for the bolts to go in. no picture of it.

Re: 1967 F-100 project
theres a bracket on the outside of my frame. the steering box goes in between the frame and the bracket. the bracket is a piece of channel iron. the bolts to hold the pump on go through the bracket box and frame. ill get a better pic later.

Re: 1967 F-100 project
Well, it's official. I now own FOUR Ford pickups! At least temporarily. I found this 68 in a salvage yard, the cab is in excellent condition. Bought the whole truck for $200. Bed floor is shot, but I'm thinking of cutting off the bedsides to repair my original bed. The motor is an FE, just don't know displacement. I'll check the stroke length when I tear into it.

Hey, if you can put up a bigger pic, I'd really like to see how that's set up!

Have to remove engine towers and cab mounts, and the frame will be ready for sandblasting and POR-15.

Here are some pics of the frame on my homemade rotisserie. Works great! It was just too windy to sandblast, have to wait til the weather settles down.
