inner fenders

Post by fordman »

i went to set a front clip on my 4x4 tonight and i had interference with the power steerign hoses. can someone give me a picture of how the factory inner fender goes around the steering box and or lines? my tuck uses the 2wd drive box inside of the piece of channel welded to the outside of the fram in front of the coil springs. yes it is a F100. also isnt the passenger side apron suppose to be cut off to fit around something? how is that? what does it fit around? the coil spring tower?

it goes around the steering sector i think. that is the way i had to do it to my 78 when i put a 2wd body on a 4x4 frame what i did is used a gr4inder and cutt off wheel that is all i tink that the inner fenders are the same as the bumps
if its fixed break it again red white and ford blue the only up hill thats good is the one you are going down

this truck had a dentside inner fender on it when i got it. they cut a hole in it for the power steering hose to poke through the top and side of it. i know thats not right.

i seen a picture last night of a inner fender that went around the manual steering gear similar to where mine is at. but my 2wd box is much taller than the manual box is. do you think i should just cut the lower fender off o fthat side? or try and bend it around the steering box? i am going to be putting them on this weekedn. so i really need to know how these are suppose to go. how did the factory do it. with these boxes like this?
