think i may have found the issue guys
well, after all this time, getting stuck ,stalled in trafffic, after repplacing, cap rotor, fuel lines and even fuel pump and rebuilt carb. omg.!!
well, i was thinking it was the coil, me and others thought it was heating up, well. after stalled at a flea maket, kept tuning over.
i hooked up a expernal power source with a house plug and got my battery charger , charged the battery a little and it started up.
all this time im thinking coil was over heating. it just wasnt getting enough juice. whatcha think ,,, alternator>??

If it's been spinning over okay, it's very doubtful that you have an alternator problem.
Think about it. If you charged the battery a little, that means that you let the engine cool a bit.
Still points to a problem either with the ignition or fuel system.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

im thinkin, its getting fuel , as checked by someone. reason i thinkit may be alternator casue when it stalled. then i waited a while and then the battery would natrually recharge eough to start it after it sat awhile,.

Re: think i may have found the issue guys
If it sounds like the starter is getting weak when this happens, it probably is. It may be getting hot from the exhaust.
Batteries don't "naturally" recharge themselves. They do develop a "bit" more power, but if it's as bad as you've been saying, the battery/carb/coil/etc probably isn't the problem.
VERY simple way to check that. Take it to Advance or AutoChina and have them check the charging system. Three minutes, you have an answer on that one, and it's free.
Still doesn't explain the stalling...

I wish the same thing, and I just need mine for fun!!!
Even moreso, I wish I was local, and I'd figure out your problem!!!

Does this truck have the funky half moon plastic connector at the coil? If so discard and replace with eye terminals at both the + and - terminals.

So, since it had the "half-moon" connector, are you running a Duraspark system?
