heater hose routing and temperature valve
hi everyone....my 67 f100 with a 6 cyc had no heating hoses hooked up when i got it.....i went to the junk yard today and got the temperature valve....i think that's what it might be called.....it's the thing that mounts inside the engine compartment and is hooked to the temperature switch in the cab......my questions is does that go on the outside hose or the inside hose....or facing the 2 inlets...on the left or the right.....by chilton manual shows water flow direction....but that not where to put the valve....also i don't know which inlet/out on the heater hooks to which inlet outlet on the motor....yoyyyy....thanks for the help......

Re: heater hose routing and temperature valve
You put it on the one that feeds the heater.... I don't have a 6, so I am not sure, but you said the Chiltons shows water direction, you should be good to go.
FYI, I would get an all plastic valve.... in the long run you will have less issues.
good luck!
Eric
