Trouble finding 1967 Air Filter

Post by cancow »

The air cleaner I bought from Fram has a much larger diameter than the current one I am using. Everything seems to be original on the 352, but could someone have changed the air filter housing, or is this a common problem?

You're talking about a truck that's 42 years old.

Could someone have changed the air filter housing? There's a pretty good chance it's not original.

Post a pic, and one of us can probably answer that.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

That's not an oil leak :nono: That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!

some of them had oil bath air cleaners. Those work pretty good but kind of a pain to deal with. I have one for my '68 w/ 360.

take your air cleaner in with you to a napa or car quest and start looking.....i have the same problem on my 67 and the air filter housing is factory... still had the sticker on it and every thing.... Eventually found one came from a 65 f250 with a 352 fe

and all the one fram makes are either to tall or to big a round
