SO I have bought a '67 stepside to restore as a winter weekend project a while back and am starting tto make plans as to what i want to do.
The PO said it has the original 352 in it - and although i have not measured stroke etc yet I have no reason to disbelieve him. It runs great.
However he does not know if the heads have had hardened seats installed to run unleaded gas - How do I easily tell ?

New valve seats have to be installed by an engine machine shop during a valve job. Not something for the do-it-yourselfer.stephen44 wrote:thanks - so i I do rebuild - is it an easy job (no special tools) to fit new seats ?
