OT questions about 4 cylinder diesal

Post by SteveC »

Ok not planning a swap anytime soon but when I'm ready I may put one in my 67 s while after I find a 4x4 truck so I can convert mine to 4x4 with x frame swap. Anywho where can I find some info on the 4 cylinder cummings swap that is pretty popular? And what is needed to do the swap? Will it bolt up to my np435 or should I get another m5r2 5 speed? I've looked around here and some other sites but I have no clue where to look where these engines even come from. Do these engines have a fuel pump on the frame or does it mount to the engine its self? Sorry for so many questions but I really have no clue about these engines and am wanting to learn more
I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.
