Just finished replacing the passenger side exhaust manifold gasket on my 360. No broken, stripped or stuck bolts!!! They all came out without any problems. I have been soaking the top ones with liquid wrench for about a week. Sounds much better now.

it probably was the soaking that helped. but i have seen some that are so rusty on the thread of those bolts that i doubt the bolts would ever come out in one piece.

Is the exhaust gasket needing replacement on that side a common occurance? My truck needs it too......

I'm trying our a new penetrating oil by Marvel Mystery Oil on some studs. Will see how that works. Ultimately it's God's manifold anyway. And he'll answer prayer "yes or no or not yet."

That is true,were only borrowing material possessions in this world,Thats the smartest thing Ive ever read on any forum,I dont go door to door preaching,and I dont even go to mass every sunday like I should,but the Big guy has got me out of a few bad spots,and you just cant over look these things,I replaced my rear manifold exhaust gasket the other day,and I had to heat the edges of the manifold to a dull red hot,I got down on the studs with a pipe wrench,and they came out,I did not heat the studs directly,or we all know what would have happened,just the area around the studs,man were they stuck,but now were good to go. talk later.
