rubber motor mounts
im kind of curious about how these are put together. i pulled an engine that had a bad one. it had just came apart. the rubber from the metal mouont on the engine. how the heck was it even held together in the first place. wass it just melted into place or what? i had thought a person could use some windshiled urethane and stick it back together. that is some strong stuff. would it work?

Re: rubber motor mounts
The rubber is vulcanized to the metal, which is basically melting it together.
Windshield adhesive won't work for any brand of mount.
The mounts aren't expensive enough to make it worth attempting to repair them, just buy new.

i have a good used one i was just wondering if it was melted together or what the deal was. i dont have any urethane any way. that stuff is almost as expensive as a new mount.
