they make an asbestos (guess it is) long peice of hollow tube cloth you can buy at most hot rod shops or they "might" have at chain auto parts stores (doubt it) that you have to disconnect the fuel line and slip this over. Kinda like a hollow sock with open ends. Or, you could use wooden clothepins to temporarily keep the metal fuel line away from wherever it's too close to heat source. you might want to install an inline clear plastic fuel filter, even if it's temporary, to see if it runs dry when you are vapor locked. And, when it stalls on you and vapor locks, be sure to look down carb w/flashlight and owrk throttle by hand to see if gas squirting.
Reason I say all this, I know a girl with a 300 that was thought to be vapor locking, classic symptoms, but was part of her ignition breaking down.

Your best bet is to find exactly where it is vapor locking.

Do you have exhaust running to close to the frame rail?

Headers that are really close to the fuel line coming over the crossmember?

The fuel line coming from the fuel pump coming into contact with the power steering pump. water pump, heater hose and other engine parts?

You best bet is to have the fuel lines have has much of an air gap as possible to insulate from heat. I just recently ditched my metal fuel line coming from the pump and ran double insulated fuel injection hose.
