wires?
I'm getting ready to rmove my i6 to give it a freshining up and to clean up the fwd clip and found these two wires. I hope some one can tell me where they go. Here is a pic:

i thought they may go to the coil and the previous owner may have rewired it with new wires, but I don't think so. Here is a pic of them:

Re: wires?
yes they are for oil pressure and water temp. i think white is water and the oily one is for oil pressure.

Re: wires?
All my oil ones have been white and the oily ones have oddly been water temp. it's almostr realy the color of the coil wire itself almost, atleast on my current truck.
just realized it was a I-6 and not a V8 craig sounds more correct, only way to be 100% would be to see wich one fits better on each sending unit as far as reach. on the eights the longest one is usauly oil. and the coil and water temp seem to plumb no further than the correct location.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Re: wires?
they are the connectors to the oil pressure sending unit and the temp sending unit. oil on the left to the right side of the filter. temp on the right side at the back. i had forgotten the the last owner had installed an after market gouge cluster. i want to go back to using the original gauge so it should'nt be to hard to convert back would it?

Re: wires?
if he used different wires then you should just be able to swap the original wires back on.

Re: wires?
I had the same thing on my 67 and mine had the water temp, oil pressure, and electrical sending units disconnected since I have owned it.
