CARB ADJUSTMENTS
being newly seperated and hopefully not divorce. was a blast test driving my only true love last night. but putting on my pick n pull carb i rebuilt it seemed to kinda idly kinda stumbly, can you tell me what adjustments neet to be made on such a carb, im a new to adjusting stuff, also the dashpost when i turned it off made a almost a honk. bad dashpot ??

For adjustments it realy depends on driving and inviromental conditions, alltitude.
the most a set of mixture screws should need is 1 1/2 to 2 turns out. on a worne out carb where the screws bores are beatup i have gone as far as 3 turns and been ok. and on the idle itself with choke set correctly and its cam screw properly set and the dashpot iether gone or correctly set is just enough for it to start opening the throttle plates, and then 1-2 turns from there or until idle is reached. the more throttle it takes to get there however the less you'll have for acceleration.
