Carb switchover

Post by faxon7 »

I have replaced my '72 360 2 barrel Autolite carb with a 4 barrel Holley, using a cast iron intake.

The older setup had the spacer below, with PCV valve connection and a heater hose pass-thru.

What is the benefit/drawback of having the heater hose pass-thru on the spacer?

Thinking of just using a spacer for the 4 barrel that has the vacuum connection.

Thanks,
Josh

the water going through the spacer is suppose to keep the carb from icing over. you do need soem sort of spacer under the carb though to keep away from heat saok to the carb.
