Post by redguy85 »

I am looking to buy a 390 for my 1970 f-100 and does anybody know about this company called TUFF DAWG ENGINES. i see their stuff on ebay and they have a 100% percent feedback rating. I would like to know if any of you guys have any experience dealing with these people, good or bad.

I would not trust nor use any mail order engine builder. If something goes wrong, you're out of an engine while it's in transit. I would find a reputable, local engine builder and let them build the used engine that I inspected and supplied. Just my opinion.

I would want someone close so I could talk to them face to face if something went wrong after the sale. Have heard alot of stories about venders not replying to problems. my 2 cents

I've talked to them quite a bit and they know their stuff for FE engines. They have a good website as well, you'd have to google it to find it. Tuff Dawg and Pop's Engines are both very reputable shops for FE's. My bro just bought a stroker kit from Pop's and it is sweet! :2cents:
