Re: Radiator blockage
Installed the radiator and noted that when the t-stat opened (with the rad cap off) there was no overflow of coolant out the top. It immediately began circulating. Now I'm getting about a 25 - 30 degree diff. between top and bottom tanks. The radiator guy said that the radiator was factory and looks to have never been rodded before. I guess it held up well for 37 years.

Re: Radiator blockage
If you don't mind me asking, what did they charge you at the radiator shop?
I just had a 4 row cross flow done locally last November and it was $60. I thought that was a pretty good deal considering it would have cost me about $300 to order a new one.

that is a factory number that is a good one. to last this long.
60.00 to clean it out sounds like a good deal to me.

I got charged $75 bucks. Only one shop in town does the copper radiators any more because of the city cracking down on copper discharges to the wastewater plant. The other shops only do aluminum and plastic.
