water pump install

Post by Sam I Am »

Is there a specific torque sequence for the water pump bolts?

I guess I should have specified that this is for my 302.
It doesn't have 4 bolts around the water jackets.

There is no pattern for a 302 in the book. Torqued 12-15 pounds.

Thank you X2.

I guess what I did worked, it's not leaking.
I put it on last night with the sealant still wet and ran the bolts down finger tight, left it overnight, and then tightened it gradually in steps until it felt tight enough.
