Everything looks Great!! I've been watching the build come along and I'm a little curious why your fabbing coilover hoops when you have just redone the front of the frame to run leafs. Which one are you planning to run?

I had been wanting to do coilovers, but do to time constraints when the project was out on the driveway... the leafs were just a quick way to get it done. So being that the project has a roof.... I decided to just get the front coils done now and I will switch the rear to coils later. There were a couple minor reasons that swayed that decision... the passenger side shackle resides right were I want my 5" exhaust to be and I may need to cut into that front cross member / spring hanger to gain some intercooler clearance. The lack of shackles will also make it easier to box the frame up some, if I decide that's warranted....

Right on just figured I'd check it was just confusing me. I think next year if all goes well I'll have my crew on a set of King coilovers up front with the Cage radius arms I was planning a while back. Just have to come up with the cash for stuff. Have you figured out what size coilovers you'll run? I recommend a trip to the Kurt leduc swap meet in Cali next yr if you get a chance and want to save money on coilovers, brand new ones. I picked up a set of 10" King 2.5 piggyback coilovers for my sandrail for 440 bucks, smokin deals straight from the vendor's not to mention indivinduals. This is my plan for next yr if I can stay working.

im so jealous you were at the leduc swap meet, i have heard tons of crazy deals down there.
so i emagine this build is directed more to crawling than prerunning stuff?
One of the builds i want to do is a bump crew prerunner, but that wont be for years and years :D
are those 3.0 coilovers?

I went with 16" FOA's even though I will not be needing that much travel... I was looking for a 32" mount length and the 16's give me that with 45-50% droop for ride hieght. I'll use straps and bumps as needed. I had to take a guess on the spring rates though as I'm not able to get it out to weigh it correctly.... so we will see how that shakes out. I will be runing a non-triangulated four link using 2"x.250" DOM and ballistic joints in combination with a track/panhard bar that will match up real well with my cross over stearing for little to no bump steer.

That was a great deal on those King CO's !

I really don't have an intended purpose for the truck.... I'll do some towing and a lot of just having fun doing whatever one does with 650HP! :hmm:

Those CO's are 2.5 FOA's w/ Eibach springs.

Got the fith gear nut all torqued today.... hit her with 300ft/lbs and red locktite, cranked the set screws and peened the lip of the nut into the slot in the shaft. So we will see how this works out... if it comes loose then I'll put a torgue king shaft in it. Cast iron tail housing all buttoned up....

Just got off graves this morning..... took a nap, had some lunch with the little woman, took her for a country ride on the Harley, came home and started working on that hydraulic clutch.

As suspected that firewall needed some reinforcement! I also found my peddle stroke to be too short for my liking. So I decided to pull the whole assembly out and build it as a stand alone solution and then bolt back to the firewall.
