PCV hose, breather hose replacement??

PCV hose, breather hose replacement??

What are most of you guys doing when the breather hose from the valve cover to the carb base disintegrates and breaks into pieces after pulling it off? I was prepping and cleaning and thought I could get a new one from the local auto parts, but no luck. I'm tempted to put a heater hose on there but dont think it would hold or would kink. Is there another vehicle part number that works?

i am pretty sure you can still get the molded hose for it but i dont remember where at. you can use a fuel line hose to make it work for now. i think 3/8 woul dbe better than 1/2 because it would stay on and not blow off.

If he's talking about using heater hose then I'm assuming he's referring to the breather hose from the air cleaner to the oil fill cap. If that's the case then I think heater hose should work fine, there's no real stress on that hose in it's function.
