302 Alternator Bracket

Post by cjhall »

Due to an electronic snafu, (I screwed up ), I have lost some of my reference pictures on my 302 rebuild. I cannot remember how the lower alternator bracket is attached to the block. Could some one please post a picture or a real good description of how it goes?

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks for the pics. It looks like the lower bracket is attached to the upper bracket at its lowest mounting hole. Is that correct?

Again, thanks for the pictures.

no they are seperate. you can also swap those brackets from place to place and have the alternator sit higher than the low spot.
