Sweet!
What are you going to do for the exhaust system?
For the pictures, if you join Photobucket.com, or another picture sharing service, you can do a direct link that imports the full size version. Makes it a lot easier, and doesn't take up any room on Keith's server.
Lately I've been re-sizing pictures to about 600dpi wide, so that the file is smaller, and those on dial up don't have to wait so long to get be able to see the thread.

i will work on getting the photos on that site photo bucket. My motor is a 302 bored .030 over with an edelbrock performer intake and carb and a crane cam, .484 lift with 218 degrees of duration at .050. they are headman headers made for our trucks.. i dont have the part number right off, but they are longtubes. 1 in. 5/8 primary tubes running down to a 3 in. collector. Im just getting them hooked up to my exhuast i had on it. True duels that dump behind the axle. 2 and 1/2 in. pipe with flowmaster 40 mufflers. I am also getting an H-pipe put on it!!

What exactly does the H-pipe do anyway?

Re: got my new headers on tonight!! PICS
it balances out the exhaust pulses and gets rid of the back rap when you de-accelerate, while giving you some (little) more torque as well as giving the exhaust a deeper tone. That is what i have researched about them. I have never run one, so i will find out what all it does this week hopefully! im leaving for Guatemala for a mission trip this Saturday for 10 days, so hopefully i can get the exhaust hooked up this week!!

Re: got my new headers on tonight!! PICS
I just installed headers on my truck without the H-pipe and I'd be interested what kind of a difference it makes. Keep us posted.
Have a safe trip and great time in Guatemala.

Re: got my new headers on tonight!! PICS (updated 5/27)
So i got my exhuast hooked up so now i have 2 1/2 in. pipe from the headers back with a 2 1/2 in.H-pipe! The headers and made a HUGE difference in acceleration and i could not believe the power difference with the H-pipe as well as the sould difference it made!! The H-pipe quitened it down to a DEEP MELLOW tone at cruising speeds, but still idles pretty loud!! The flowmaster 40 series mufflers sound great! The only problem i ran into, is that my exhaust man had to weld the exhuast pipe directly to the header because the crossmember was to close to fit the reducers on, No big deal!! I would reccomend an H-Pipe!! and i get no more "back rap" when i de accerlate now either!
