What new carb for 302?

Post by Parker »

It appears that I need a new carb for my original 302. Any recommendations? Thanks

I am in the same position. I need to keep the cost down as much as possible and I have been looking at the Holley shown at the link below.

I went with the eldelbroc 600 on my 302 and love it.

What about the Holley 80453? What intake do we need for Holley?

No external float adjustment??? Think i'd stay away from that . Looks suspiciously like a holley "street avenger" :nono:

On a 302, this would be my first choice... http://spideraccessories.stores.yahoo.n ... 08007.html

Bolt it to a to a weiand stealth & call it done.

once again, the "new & improved" still no adjustment on the float level. I hate to harp on that point, but it's something i fell is necessary to get the tune correct on our trucks. See if you can find an 01850-3 at the local swap meet. Same basic carb, but adjustable.Put a Holley kit in it & you're done. Read up on 'em and they aren't as intimidating as some would have you believe.
