With the fuel line sitting on the v/c like that it may heat up the fuel which causes it to expand and may force it past the needle/seat or cause vapor lock, the v/c gets pretty hot.

It is fine. The fuel line has a rubber line section in it so it won't vapor lock.

Yea, whats all the talk i see on here about " if there is a section of your fuel line that is rubber you won't have vapor lock? Mine is a 72 with 302 and has the origanal steel line from the pump to the carb, have never had a vapor lock issue. Not trying to sound like a smart_ _ _ just curious.

No…
Even if you had it laying on the exhaust pipe, the line pressure would be the same and the needle valve stays closed when the bowl is full.

 You can see it squirting fuel? Or is the carb overflowing and flooding out the motor? A better explanation is needed.

Oh no, I'm not having a problem, I just see that on here all the time about if you have a section of rubber in the fuel line you won't have vapor lock and was wondering if that's the case why did Ford use a hard line from the pump to the carb without rubber section of fuel line in it?

A liquid boils at a lower temp if it is under pressure. The rubber hose section just gives the heated fuel room to expand keeping the pressure down. An all steel line acts like a pressure cooker. As the fuel heats up it builds pressure in an all steel line and boils at lower temp. But if the line is not near a high heat source, an all steel line is fine.
