Stupid new ford truck engine question :(

Post by buckeye_balls7 »

My dad has a 92' f-150 w/ 302 multi-port fuel injection crap. I hate this ****. Some how his ignorant ass overheated his "new" engine(about 55,000 miles) like 12 hundred times! And the nastiest substance known to man started coming out EVERY place where any air or fluid would flow in the engine. It looks like someone took a dump (after2 sacks of ten at white castle) all over and in everything :( I have never seen engine sludge come up into the throttle body and back into the injectors :( I am guessing that all of the injectors will need replacing(he'll love that),and some how I have to get all of that **** out of the intake(s) . I just want to know if any of you have seen something like this before?

That is the nice foam that comes when you overheat it and mix water in the oil...

Good luck, I would just put a new long block in it.

My thought would be that the motor in question is really hosed.

That is my thought too. But my dad is insisting on me doing the head gasket job,and not replacing anything else :( It needs the whole thing pulled out and completely cleaned, and probably rebuilt. But he won't go for that.So I say screw him for being so hard headed. He is paying me $500 for the gasket job (that's a damn good price by the way). But when it gets done it will run like ass,if at all :)

Did he ride the "short" bus? For $500, he can get a boneyard motor that runs and hasn't been destroyed.

Plus the installation cost. Keep in mind,my old man knows NOTHING about cars(he thinks he is an an expert on "automotive theory",and I'm not joking :() He can't do more than check his oil himself, and I don't have the time to deal w/ his ****!.

What "installation" cost? All he needs is to find a motor of the same vintage and slide it right into his pickup. Cherry picker and basic tools required. A guy that knows what he is doing can pull it off easily in part of a day, a guy with little knowledge might take the weekend.

I just see that as a far better option than throwing money at, what sounds like, a boat anchor.

Like I said,he knows nothing and I have like 800 other projects going. I am fed up w/ working on his ****. He neglects it,then bitches when it breaks . He can handle it. I am the only one he knows that can do it. And I don't have the time. He needs to get himself a small import, and leave me alone. Sorry, He just has me really pissed off :(

"it never hurts to lie a little bit;)" -my stepfather

The way I see it is...
People that don't want to hear the truth, actually -want- to hear a lie.
So lie to them. :) They like it. :)
If they catch you in a lie, tell 'em...
"you can't have it both ways, danggit"

Can you haul off the engine for "the work it needs"?
Bring back whatever engine you want. :)

Like Red said...
Alvin and Buckeye's dad would have both rode the short bus, if they'd had 'em back then? :/

O.K.

First of all let us watch the language, here is a hint, if the software is replacing what you type with asterisks then you need to clean it up, if you are typing asterisks to disquise words, you need to clean it up.

Secondly, if you just want to rant about how not smart your dad is, this isn't the place for that, if you actually have a question it would be a lot easier to answer if it were posed in an inteligent manner not burried in a rant.

Thirdly, since you basically dismissed the only person that tried to answer your question, I'm assuming this is just a rant and locking it.
