Super Cool Radiator on F100
I've read several other threads on the super cool radiators, but none had enough info to directly answer my question. I have a 1971 F100 with a 302. Would I be able to buy a Supercool radiator from a late 70's truck and it bolt directly to my core support? Or would I be able to unbolt the brackets off the truck I get the supercooling radiator out of and bolt that up to my core support in order to make it fit? I apprectiate all responses, my radiator just went out and was thinking about upgrading. Thanks.. Also would my stock size hoses work?

no the super cool has different mounting flange. it is half way in between the radiator it wont bolt to the regular 2wd core support. heres a pic of it mounted.

Supercool radiator trucks had a different core support. You can easily modify a non-supercool core support, though.

There are two different super cools. The 77 and older ones used the 4x4 core support in 2wd trucks. The 78-79 ones bolted right up to the 2wd core support.
The hoses are different. The super cool is several inches taller than standard ones.
