Dan you are most certanly correct! I have about 20 hours into it so far and I am no where near done. Taking my time though, working on the cab corners at the moment. I guess it's worth it in the long run since I will spend the most time in the cab. :D

Thaks for the reply DCbullet,

No, the front brakes and spindles are off a 71 F-250. The go right up to the old I-beams. The calipers are remanufactured and I painted them for contrast.

Did you weld from the inside or outside on the floor pans? Thanks

Both, since there where some areas with a little bit of over lap I just ran a bead all the way around both sides to make sure everything was sealed up good.

Heres the final product on the bottom side. Por 15 covered with rattle can bed liner. I thought it came out pretty good.

That looks really good. I went ahead and got my pans and mounts at BOTPs. I just don't have the extra money right now. Keep this thread going. It is very helpful to me.

Small update, got the cab mounted after I painted the bottom. Got a lot more cab work to go but it feels like a milestone. Now it is starting to look like a truck instead of a frame with a million parts strunned all over the place.

Thanks Ryan,
Proabably not a professional shop because of the cost, but it is definetly going to be a quality paint sprayed on with BC&CC. I have a friend that knows how to paint and has all of the equipment, but warned me he is not a professional. So I think if we take our time and wet sand any flaws we should be fine.

As far as color, I am 99.9% sure my color scheme is going to be black on tan, just like my 07 superduty. My plan right now is to paint the bumpers, lower body tan like the superduty, and my 67's grille will be painted tan also. All the rest will be black except the letters on the tailgate. I still have not totally figured out how I am going to do the interior paint. Obviously most of it will be black, but I want some tan accents, just can't figure out where.

Finally since I have to get new rims. (old don't fit new brakes) I am going to get some 18's with the holes in them similar looking to the superduty. They will be like twins, but with 40 years of serparation. :)

That sounds like a really cool idea, i can't wait to see that. There used to be a guy down the street that had a king ranch superduty that had the paint scheme like that. I like it, looks really good, never thought about it on a bump.
