That kit would work, I think Barry could put together a better one and balance it for not much more money.

A stock pan with a CJ style baffle is fine for high performance street work (Milodon makes one). The stock non performance pan is not good and won't keep the oil near the pick up in a front sump pan under heavy acceleration. I sure wouldn't risk an expensive motor on a 100.00 oil pan!

I was thinking about adding this pan. I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about.

just let me know what you think.

Assuming that it will fit in the truck (and I'm not sure it will) that Moroso should be fine.

I was actually talking about the Milodon "stock" pan:

Milodon 30740

Have a look at:

You want a baffle that looks like "1969-1970 Oil Pan Pictures".

The 390 balancer will work too. If you are building a SCJ, then you need the hatchet that goes behind the dampener and a SCJ dampener! Otherwise not a big deal....
You will need a 428 flywheel/flexplate unless you make it internally balanced, as stated earlier.JMHO

P.S. get your engine balanced!!!

ok assuming when I build my engine I get it internally balanced would I then be able to use aftermarket Balancers and flywheels and such or would I still need engine displaement specific components???? I.E. 428/410 Components or would the internal balancing eliminate the necessity for these specific components????

You can us a aftermarket balancer if you like or a stock balancer! It wont be a big deal either way.

If you get it internally balance, then you can use a 390/427 Flexplate/flywheel (Which has "NO" external weights in it like the 428/410).
