That's the small block adapter and a saginaw pump.

That looks like a cool project. I was looking at the pics of the cab on the engine lift . Just wondering how you hooked the lift to the cab?

I hooked chains up to bolts that I put in existing holes. The front holes are capped off with a grommet plug. I used big washers in those spots and long bolts through the cab mount location in the rear.

On a side note I bought this gauge cluster off ebay today.

and I want to install this tach in place of the vacuum gauge.

The seller says its 4" around. What size is the vacuum gauge hole? And how can it I get the tach to work at with my cummins? It looks to be a mechanical tach.

mljjones, the links dont work because they were shortened and the other half is no longer a link and some of it is missing. if you cant get it to link then how about copying a picture or two from the ebay listing.

The rockauto link doesn't work.

Use whatever mounts you want. If you run the gen1 dodge blockside mounts then gen1 dodge biscuits match up to them and you can build frame stands to match. The dodge biscuits aren't the best though. Stock engine they'll work fine, bigger power and they go sooner than they should.

I've been thinking about trying to piece together highboy frame stands for a 6BT using the 90's ford powerstroke mounts. They're pretty rugged and actually have a design that keeps the engine in plkace if the rubber brakes.

Rock auto wont let me directly link to a part so you just have to put in the part number and brand name. I got the part number off of 4btswaps it is for the 4bt for block mounts I believe, I still need to find those if I use that setup. If it will even work.

Dustin,
Can you give me the dimensions to cut down my 79' engine stands. Soon as I get my welder and practice a little I will cut them down. Oh on the 79 the engine stands are different heights, will that make it different to cut down the 2.5" I will throw some pics up when I get back to Utah.

Thanks again Dustin

You can use your frame stands for a 4BT install. With the six you have to make entirely new engine mounts. The six does not mount the same.

The 4 uses front mounts. The six has mid mounts.
