might be A dumb question bout battery
i have my ford focus battery in my truck, my mechanic friend said as lang as its putting 12v it doesnt mattter. fact??

the voltage part would not be my concern. It is the cranking amps needed at startup that may effect you. Our starters need a certain amount of cranking amps to work effectively. I don't know the exact number but I am sure it is more the that of a four cylinder focus.
So as long as the battery supplys enough cranking amps you should be fine. If you don't have enough it will be slow to crank, that causes more heat because it's working harder and possibly could damage it over time.

ok thanks do you think its may be why the light go slightly dim and dart a little and get bright when i hit the gas.

no, that's the altenator or the voltage regulator. Mine would do it to with a big battery.

i fried a new starter in about 10 starts with a lower than required cranking amp rating...be careful
