I didn't have to do any mods to the hood hinge. So I'll use the stock hinges, but I did get some new springs.

Its been about four months now and I'm posting some up to date pics of what I've been up to. I'm trying to get the interior finished up and start on getting the mechanical in working order. I've got a list of about twenty or so things to do big and small. Hopefully by the start of summer and no major economic disaster I can get her on the road. Its been a long two and half years and when all said and done, I'd say three years total for me. Most of the work I have done all myself and a big sacrifice from my family. They all want this thing done!

Dude... that grill looks AWESOME!!!! It says "polished", but I'm assuming that is chromed steel and not aluminum... right??

Polished aluminum! I was lucky to have a really clean grill that had almost no dings. The grill and headlight buckets had the clear anodized removed and was then polished by a local shop here in san diego for $220.00. The grill was taken to a different shop to have the anodized removed. I tried to put easy off on thinking I could do this job myself. NOT. Turned out really sweet.

Tell us more about the wood floor. I have seen another vendor that sells the components for that but there is little detail on the site. Is yours simply laying on top of the metal floor or was the original removed first? Thanks

$220 WOW!!! that was a bargin price Mike. i spent about 5 hours on a spare head light door i had laying around this past sat. and im here to tell everyone!! GRILL POLISHING IS NOT FOR ME!! i will be paying someone for this service for sure!!

with regard to the bedwood, I found a guy on ebay that took my bed measurements and cut the boards to length. I paid him around $500 which included the steel strips which I then power coated. I "borrowed the base structure from a current design that you pay big bucks for. The bed is a two part design in that you assemble it outside the truck and install it in sections like the photo describes. I did some trimming here and there and did all the finishing on the wood once it was fit to the truck. I had installed the whole setup about 5 or 6 times to get it right, but I knew once it was painted it had to go in flawlessly.
