Electric die grinders

Electric die grinders, who has 'em and what kinds do you like? No, not the wimpy 1/8" dremel, real 1/4" die grinders. I want to do some porting and my compressor just isn't going to cut it for the air grinders. It would have to be variable speed.

I have done heads with the dremel and it works ok, but you are limited to mostly their products. So.... I have been looking at one of the Roto tools with the flexable cable attschment. The Roto uses a 1/4 collet so you can use allot more attachments(tools) with it. I have also found if you start with a good mill end carbide tool to do the hogging the job time is cut in half. The mill ends cost about 12.00 to 20.00 each and last a long time if you use cutting oil. The Roto tools cost between 50.00 and 80.00.

I have a Miluwakee at work that I use when there is no air close. I've never done head work so I can't compare but I'm happy with mine. Hope this helps. Doug

I have a Milwaukee that is about 25 years old, the tough little sucker takes some abuse and just keeps on going. There are other good tool manufacturers out there, but I'm pretty much sold on Milwaukee.
