Re: Autolite-2100
There is also the universal 2300 series.

I would think that the pick a part yards would be littered with 4v intakes for small blocks, should not be that difficult to turn one up if thats what you want.

Hey P-man. I got my Holley 500 cfm 2bbl from jegs for 269.99. You can go here http://www.jegs.com/p/Holley/743827/10002/-1 and take a look. Again the best thing I have put on my truck. I still think there is nothing better than a brand new carburetor.

Re: Autolite-2100
Peanutman I rebuilt my 2100 this evening for around 25 bucks including Berrymans B-12 carb cleaner.Had to replace the choke pulloff as well which wasnt in kit.My choke was staying on all the time and would idle up to 2000 rpm in this cold weather when warm, had to keep kicking pedal to get her to idle down. Was also getting a whopping 10mpg which just didnt seem right
Truck started right up and idles great now just take your time and follow the setup directions and should get you in the ballpark.Tommorow i'll get the vacuum gauge out and set the timing as well.I believe you will find the 1.08 numbers on side of your carb which should be around 390cfm.
As to the heat soak issue I would think it is a lean condition caused by either carburetion or timing being advanced.I had this same problem with the Holley on my 86 Super duty with 351HO and factory Holley setup.Had just bought a 26' fifth wheel trailer and was dragging her home and she would just run oughta oomph.Got the rig home by buying a bag of ice and sprinkling a little ice on intake around carb every time it would act up.Turns out it was a little crack in the electronic ignition module in the dizzy that would open up when hot and cool off and run fine when cool
