feels like it runs out of fuel

hey all been having problems with my truck. thought it was fuel delivery drive down the road it cuts out like its running out of fuel. so i run the lines change the fuel pump still did it . talked to a buddy of mine he said try replacing the coil guess what it runs like a champ know. thought this might help some one else

Mine was doing the same thing! So I found this thread and put a new Coil on the truck, Drove it 50 miles last night no prob! Thanks!! :hd:

I had same thing happen. I bouught a rebuilt carb, replaced the fuel pump and lines. Also flushed the tank. I replaced the coil ,and still same thing. Then I replaced the the points. That was it !!!!! I thought it couldn't be ignition, because it didnt do it constantly. I would start the truck, and not even 2 minutes later it would start crapping out. Black smoke and ocasional backfires. Just thought I would pass it on. Hope it helps someone. :fr:
