Slightly off question about an Engine swap

Post by James »

Ok. This question probably seems a little weird, but has anyone put in a inline six in a Mustang II?(I believe the years were '74 to '78) I was looking at putting the big six(300) in one, though I'm unsure about clearances and such until I actually can measure the engine bay.

Any help would be appreciated

As long as you don't plan on using a radiator it will fit fine! LOL A small block is a very tight fit and Ford had to use special components to get the 302 in there, I can't imaging getting anything longer in there unless you remove firewall material. Hawkrod

my wife had a mustang II i think it was a 74 it had a v6 in it. and that was tight front to back. i had a heck of a time putting a thermostat housing in the lower hose. that was a bad deal.
