i called this place today. they are out of detroit. the kit to make fe's to a 445 ci cost $1850. maybe another $150. for shipping and handling. when i get another truck i think that will be a better option than building the 429 that i had. more bang in a smaller package. will also keep the stock appearance as well. "sleeper".

Barry R is a good dude, you cant go wrong.
For guys on the West Coast, Doug Garifo at Precision Oil Pumps in Clovis CA has been offering these, and building them since the beginning too. Thats who I buy from, another member of the FE Forum, who has been doing unique stuff for us all for over 10 yrs
However, knowing Barry, like I said I wouldnt hesitate a purchase from him either

A guy in Tulsa races a 69'ish Torino with a FE bored & stroked to a 512. Dont ask me how. It runs 10's all day long & sounds like a war-zone going down the track.......

I ran low 9s with a internally balanced 428 in a Mustang. So a 512 to get to 10s in a 800 pound heavier is not good in my book. I ran low 10s in the same stang with a 390. A friend of mine, Uncle Chuck, ran Low 10s in a 428CJ 69 Torino.papabug71 wrote:A guy in Tulsa races a 69'ish Torino with a FE bored & stroked to a 512. Dont ask me how. What I have against long stokes for the street is engine life. Much higher internal wear.
