302 engine stands

When swapping out FE stands which is manual steering. For 302 and power steering do I bolt the 302 stands where FE stands were or do I have to move them back so power steering will clear them :hmm: .It is a 1969 2wd. I read where bottom holes has to be drilled but don't know if I am needing to move stands back to the back holes already in frame. Thanks For Any Answers.

the small block perches go in the front set of holes. so the steering box isnt a factor when using a small block.

The top of the driver's side stand has to angle forward to clear a Saginaw power steering pump and so will use the forward set of holes. The passenger side uses the rear set of holes. Just bolt the stands in with the upper bolts and use the stands as a template for drilling out the crossmember for the lower set of holes.
