Can someone help with a manifold question.
I have a 1968 F250 4 x 4 with automatic transmission.
It has a 390 engine with headers, but i want to go back to stock exhaust manifolds.
Looking for information.
Thanks.

Re: Manifolds
what kind of information do you want? they are available new and used. try the parts wanted section or ebay for new ones. or the parts vendors on the links page.

Re: Manifolds
Sorry for not being clear.
Are all these manifolds the same on the 4x4 and 2x4 360 and 390.
I saw them on ebay they are very inexpensive, but i was not clear on
what they fit.

No 4*4 difference there.
Nor does www.npdlink.com show a difference or www.partsamerica.com or www.autozone.com and www.napaonline.com shows the same parts for 2 and 4 wheel drive.

Re: Manifolds
Since Ford never offered that truck with an automatic, that would be my only fitment concern, it shouldn't be a problem but without knowing how the conversion to an automatic was done, who knows.

In my service manuals it does not matter what tranny even for the single cross over exhaust.

An automatic Highboy wasn't offered in '68, but it was starting in '69...at least with the I6 anyway:willowbilly3 wrote:Since Ford never offered that truck with an automatic, that would be my only fitment concern, it shouldn't be a problem but without knowing how the conversion to an automatic was done, who knows.

Re: Manifolds
Thanks Keith, I think I have brochure that around somewhere too. I only ever saw one of those, it was a 1970 and he said he special ordered it, not sure what "special ordered" meant. I don't remember seeing a V8 auto highboy until 73 or 74 and all of those I witnessed were full time. Of course no highboy was ever available with a 390 either.
