exhaust manifold torque

hi all you smart ford lovers, what do you guys torque your exhaust manifolds on a 360 to, my torque tables say max torque for a 3/8x16 is 31# seem a little light to me, but what do i know. thanks citizendick

Exhaust manifold to cylinder head bolts should be torqued to 12-18 ft./lbs., according to the factory shop manual.

thanks for the info keith, i'll do the exhaust manifolds while waiting for my son to come over and help with the intake, i can't lift that thing twice in one week by myself,came close to hurting myself removing it. citizendick
