quick question! n00b needs help
Hello i just wanted to know if its possible to damage a rubber tranny mount (c6) if the motor is lifted to high, if not how is a tranny mount usually damaged? Thanks

Just make sure the rubber isn't tore or tore away from the metal! Look it over to make sure and flex it by hand. Other wise you should be fine. JMHO

Leaking hydraulic fluid and vibration will hurt them over time. Too much heat, too much cold doesn't help.

is yours torn? then it got damaged if its torn. if its not torn then its ok. how high was the engine lifted? i'm sure if it was bad enough to get torn then it needed a new one anyway. that rubber is pretty tough. i kind of doubt that it could get torn when pulling a engine out with the trans attached. the bellhousing would hit the firewall before it could cause much damage. unless the cab was of the frame. but like i was saying it is probably alright unless it was bad to begin with.

I agree...if you're just doing something like lifting the engine a few inches to install headers or drop the oil pan, you aren't going to damage the transmission mount, providing it's in good shape. There's enough flex in it to handle that small amount.
