I have never seen a Torker for an FE, you sure that's what you had?, but I have run the Streetmaster and a Street Dominator on my F100 and didnt lose any low end at all compared to the PI, the Performer and the stock C4 iron.
Matter of fact, the SD ran exactly like the alum PI it replaced, which ran far better than any other intake I had on the truck to include Edelbrock and stock dual planes, and its still on there
I like the Streetmasters (watch out for the second bolt back from each end, they can crack if you over tighten) and the Street Dominators (like them even better because they dont crack LOL)

They only had it for 4 years. I found a used one last year but it got sucked up before I could buy it.
The Street Master is not supposed to be torqued over 32 ft lbs. For that reason, the Torker FE had the same problem. I got my Torker FE in 1977 new.
