Ok. I'm not exactly great at this, but I'm trying to figure out where the 351w in my truck is spitting oil from. By spitting, I mean when it's running it covers the driver side of under the hood in oil, and gets it right close to the radiator and fan.
It's not a very wide spray, probably 4"-5" wide and about 1.2-2 feet long.
Any ideas what gasket would be blown? Though to spite that, the engine still sounds like it's running like a champ.
I'm just hoping that it won't be an expensive repair and that it's not a "Rip entire engine apart" thing.
But for right now that's been bothering me and I'm currently unfortunately unemployed and trying to keep myself busy between applying around town and sleep.

Oil filter flange damaged? Sensor most likely.

could also check the timing cover as well
I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.

Re: 351w spitting oil
Are you sure it is oil or could it be power steering fluid?? Just a thought!!

Re: 351w spitting oil
those are some good guesses. it could be any of those. the damaged oil filter sounds like the best one. here is my guess and i know i'm not wrong. "its coming out of the engine some where."

Re: 351w spitting oil
Keep us informed if you change the filter. I have encountered a similar problem on my rebuilt 302. It was fine for 500 miles. At the first oil change it began pushing oil from the region around the filter. It's not PS fluid (first thought) and not the sensor. I will check the timing chain cover. I tried a simple oil change with a new filter, but the problem persists. Altough any loss of oil is serious, it is not a large amount.
