brake booster vacuum goes to a thing behind the carb on the intake
big vacuum hose comign from front of carb we plugged off. if im thinking right, its suppose to go to the pcv valve on the valve cover but we didnt have a long enough hose

Ryan, you are doing an AWESOME job on your truck. I am still waiting for any parts to become available for you. If anything pops I will let you know. Keep up the good work. Youre a lucky young man to have a father that will do things with you.

super update!
a couple days ago, the truck was half painted blue/white and stock with primer. and had the stock wheels, and steering wheel. that was soooo 2 days ago
same truck? nahhh, it cant be
what my dad and i did-
-picked up new to us wheels for $100, new to us steering wheel/coversion setup for $40, new to us headlight doors for free, bunch of krylon gloss white spraypaint, and one sheet of sand paper.
-sanded all the old paint down, got the old factory paint roughed up.
-taped off lots of stuff. too bad i didnt spend more time on the windows
-sprayed a couple coats of white
-taped on some stripes (props to my dad)
-painted stripes with my old paint that i used before on the blue/white paintjob. so ive got a bit of history in this new paint
-applied my dad's awesomely made SPEED-BUMP RACING stickers. the 429c.i. stickers will be applied shortly. chop-chop dad
-put new wheels and steering whel on
-replaced heater fan with another one, still doesnt work.
-cut up the fenders
sanded down all the spots where the paint bubbled or created ridges and stuff
had to keep sanding this spot
rattle can black the engine compartment.

looks pretty good ryan. is it just or me or are them front tires a little big. they look like they will jam into the fenders at any articualtion

uhh yeah there just a wee bit big even with the cut lip of the fender, i think the tire hit the fender when i was reparking the truck after painting.
when we get new tires, we'll get 33's probably and narrower and we'll either roll the fenders wider or cut them. or both.

That looks super nice , amazing what a little paint can do. Love the lettering and stipe, can't wait to see the 429 one.

thats gonna be one mean lookin truck when its all said and done, what size tires are on it now? if 33s are too big why not go with a good set of 31s?

i just tried to make a video of the truck/exhaust a few minutes ago but i just watched it on the computer and its not even worth uploading. the sound quality is total poo and the camera's video quality is horrible. ill try using my brothers video camera but that thing keeps messing up too. hmm
oh and i applied the 429 stickers today, i think they added a few hosepower
(if you click on the picture, it expands it and makes my paintjob look better. when its resized, it makes it choppy and the stripes look all stupid)
now i need to put my FORDification stickers my dad made a while ago somewhere on the body (theres one on the rear window but thats not enough ) and need some Scheetz welding stickers since my boss is helping me out alot and will be welding the whole cage together. and the TCI stickers. but im afraid with all the cosmetics the truck is getting its starting to be a real "poser" truck, i need cage and suspension so im not a poser

just trim a bit of the fenders off or find that company that makes the fiberglass fenders with the bulges up front, then you would have lotsa room to tuck those tires.
*flared-fenders.com is the source for the fiber glass ones i was talkin about, they might help with the front to rear weight transfer with that big block up front.
put the stickers under the bump line somewhere to bring some attention lower on the body and the top wont look so cluttered, and you need some shock hoops stickin out the hood nothin says prerunner like big coilovers and lotsa suspension flex

ive got a bunch of links for fiberglass fenders. such as Autofab, they make a great fiberglass fender to tuck the tire in at compression. but today i cut away more of the fenders, and when the front end is naturally raised from the drop i-beam mounts, skinnier tires should fit into the stock fenders that ive cut. plus i want to roll out the edge i cut like the factory did. my dad and i also thought about making fiberglass fenders. weve seen it done on other forums. we'll see.
the shock hoops wont quite be through the hood but they will be just under the hood

i had a 4 day weekend (still have tomorrow but wont get anything done to the truck since ill be at the welding shop all day admiring my DOM tubing )
-cut the front fenders
-flared the fenders to look better, clear more tire and not cut the tire if it hit
-dad replaced tranny fittings, they were the wrong size when we installed the tranny
-flushed the radiator and added antifreeze
-replaced drivers rear drum seal, brakes were covered in grease. topped diff. off with new oil
-cleaned up overspray from paint
-painted the vent window frames gloss black
-removed bottom 2 leaves from each pack. the bed actually goes down when you jump on it and it rides alot better
-washed it, cleaned mud from front suspension, scraped some grease
-went crazy trying to figure out why the heater doesnt work.
so pretty much this weekend was for fixing things that ive been putting off. still have to try to tune the carb and replace the PS lower seal.
we test drove the truck after all the work. the smaller steering wheel is a big improvement. dad says it steers better too maybe because of the tires. if still shifts hard and has a little slip before it does so. we have to check vacuum going to the tranny modulator and see whats up. too bad theres no dirt over here, we had to settle for a whoopydeedoo road and a heavy foot.
cut/flared fenders: i kept the original lines. the only thing id like to do to them still is if i could get the flare or lip to look more original, id have to start it back further and really pop it out. lots more wheel space now.

you may have some problems with the bed being that low. i just got a set of tires that have gashes in the side walls from the bed dropping too far and rubbing. dunno if it will happen on your truck but i thought i would say something.
